Three Cornell University researchers have hit another 3D-printing milestone by creating a working loudspeaker that's ready to use almost as soon as the printer stops.
Most products larger than a teacup must be printed in pieces, and then assembled by hand before they can be used. But Hod Lipson, associate professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering, took a new approach. Alongside graduate students Apoorva Kiran and Robert MacCurdy, the team is paving the way for on-demand, fully functioning products that can be fabricated in one go...
