Skull fossils found in Africa have provided a first look at a species of knobbly-headed, cow-sized reptile roamed the Earth around 298-252 million years ago.
The existence of bunostegos akokanensis was already known, but recently unearthed skull fossils from digs in Niger and other parts of Africa have allowed researchers to create an artist's impression of what the creature looked like.
