Researchers from the University of Granada have found a direct relationship between exposure to pesticides in food, air and water and prevalence of type 2 diabetes in adults. This direct relationship exists regardless of age, gender and body mass index, according to the new study. Researchers note, however, that these substance tend to concentrate in body fat, and may be one of the reasons why obese people are more likely to develop diabetes. | ![]() |
